The Slow Trail Mirnock starts at Gasthof Bergfried and leads through dense forest to clearings with unobstructed views of Lake Millstatt. The highlight is the "Sternenbalkon" - a spectacular viewing platform for sunsets and starry moments. A trail for all those seeking tranquillity, the power of nature and distant views.

Forest trails & regional food

A detour to the Mirnock farmers is worthwhile on the way: Here, farms invite you to stop for a bite to eat with homemade specialties such as “Mirnockaugen” - a sweet yeast dough pastry. If you want to continue hiking, you can reach the Mirnock summit via the panoramic circular trail - for all those who want to go even higher after their TIME on the trail.

Hiking with lake contact

On the southern shore of Lake Millstätter See, the trail leads through shady beech forests, past small streams - always close to the water. Two hammocks invite you to pause for a moment, while your gaze wanders over the glistening lake shore. Ideal for hot days, for mindful moments in nature and as a little TIME-out in between.

Between history & serenity

Already walked in the time of the Carantans, the path tells of the heritage of the summer resort. After the last historic villas, 119 steps lead down to the shore. From there, the trail winds its way eastwards - accompanied by birdsong, the sound of water and the “Seenixe” bay shuttle, which invites you to cross over to the northern shore in the summer months.

The Slow Trail Maltschacher See leads through gently rolling landscapes south of Feldkirchen - with views of the lake, through meadows, forests and past vineyards. There are two variants to choose from: a longer circular tour and a shorter section suitable for baby carriages - ideal for families with small children.

Enjoyable out and about by the lake

Those who hike here not only experience nature, but also regional cuisine: along the trail, refreshment stops such as the Seewirt, the Kölblhof and the TrippelGUT winery invite you to enjoy a break. Starting directly on the lakeshore makes the trail particularly atmospheric - nestled in a landscape that glows golden in autumn.
