All major winter sports areas in the Millstätter See – Bad Kleinkirchheim – Nockberge region are easy to reach by ski bus or ski shuttle. No need to worry about finding a parking space at the valley stations!
The Ski-Thermen-Bus takes skiers free of charge from hotels and accommodation in Bad Kleinkirchheim to the access points in the Bad Kleinkirchheim ski area – and back again!
During the peak season, three routes run every 15 minutes, and during the off-peak season, two routes run every 30 minutes between Bad Kleinkirchheim, St Oswald (Brunnach Biosphere Park Cable Car / Nockalmbahn) and the Kaiserburg valley station.
The Feld am See Ski Express runs between Feld am See and Bad Kleinkirchheim (stops: Sonnwiesenbahn to Thermal Römerbad). The service is free for guests and locals from Feld am See! The necessary tickets are available from the Feld am See Tourist Office and at your accommodation.
In the off-season, the Ski Express runs by PRIOR BOOKING ONLY!
Kärntner Linien bus routes 180/184 run every 30 or 60 minutes from Spittal railway station to Bad Kleinkirchheim. With the guest cards, travel to the ski area is free of charge in winter 2026/27.
This makes a winter walk through Bad Kleinkirchheim, a day on the slopes or a relaxing visit to the thermal spas just a bus ride away from Lake Millstätter See.
