The Thermal Römerbad Bad Kleinkirchheim is the perfect spa for anyone looking for saunas, panoramic views and easy access after a day’s skiing. Located right next to the valley station of the Kaiserburgbahn cable car, the Römerbad combines warm thermal waters, 13 saunas spread across three levels, and views of the Nockberge mountains.

Even the ancient Romans appreciated the benefits of the ‘terme’, as they called their thermal baths. It was therefore only natural to model Bad Kleinkirchheim’s first water park on ancient bathhouse architecture. When it opened in 1979, the Thermal Römerbad was considered a novelty of its time, as water parks of this kind were hardly common back then. Behnisch Architekten, the firm responsible for the Olympic Stadium in Munich, among other projects, gave the Römerbad a more spacious feel a few years ago, enhanced the panoramic views, brought nature to the poolside and brought the thermal baths into the 21st century.

"Maximum"

From the outdoor pool and the panoramic terrace, spa guests can enjoy a unique view of the famous "Carinthia - Franz Klammer" World Cup course. There are only a few metres between your last swing and a dip in the outdoor pool.
