How mindful travel is being implemented in the region

Between Lake Millstätter See, Bad Kleinkirchheim and the Nockberge Mountains, a form of tourism is emerging that brings together nature, the region and quality of life. The focus is on practical initiatives such as collaboration with local businesses and producers, mobility services, and cooperation with the UNESCO Carinthian Nockberge Biosphere Reserve.
These developments are being continuously pursued and presented in a transparent manner.

On the way to the Austrian Ecolabel

The Millstätter See – Bad Kleinkirchheim – Nockberge region is currently working towards certification under the Austrian Ecolabel for Tourism Destinations.
As part of this process, existing services and structures are being reviewed and further developed – including in the areas of mobility, cooperation with regional businesses and collaboration with the UNESCO Carinthian Nockberge Biosphere Reserve.
The project is being implemented in collaboration with NDK – Sustainable Destination Development Carinthia and other partner regions as part of a LEADER funding project.
