Heidi lives high up on a sprawling mountain pasture in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Carinthian Nockberge. In the winter months, a thick blanket of snow reliably covers the gentle hilltops and enchants the area into a winter wonderland that is almost only found in fairytale books.
There are places where parents can relax in cosy deckchairs and kids can have great fun in the great outdoors. Heidi's SchneeALM is such a place. A covered magic carpet and a rope lift take the young skiers to the top. Schnucki, Josef and Alm-Öhi show the little ones the way back to the "valley". The first steps on skis are particularly easy.
The older children meet up for a race on the race piste or try out the rails, kickers and boxes to their heart's content.
