Eleven lido beaches around Lake Millstätter See invite you to take a dip – from Seeboden via Millstatt to Döbriach, some of which are free with the Millstätter See Inclusive Card. At Lake Maltschacher See and Lake Flatschacher See, there are one or two public lido beaches each with free entry, ideal for a peaceful day by the water.

Carinthia’s oldest diving platform
I climb the steps; Lake Millstätter See glistens below me, and the Nockberge Mountains stand still on the horizon. Whether from the three-metre, five-metre or ten-metre platform, the warm, velvety water awaits. Since 1930, generations of bathers have taken the plunge here – and I am one of them.

Frequently asked questions about the lido
No, but there is free access to the lake on the north shore. Right next to it, the Krainer Sports School offers sailing, windsurfing, wing foiling and SUP hire. Traditional lido-style beaches with sunbathing areas can be found at Lake Millstätter See, Lake Maltschacher See and Lake Flatschacher See.
The Seeboden lido on Lake Millstatt is the only public lido in the region to have a wheelchair-accessible swimming lift.
Entry is free at Lake Maltschacher See and Lake Flatschacher See. At Lake Millstätter See, entry to several lido beaches is free with the Millstätter See Inclusive Card. Without the card, an entry fee may apply, depending on the operator.
