Six peaks in the Nockberge Mountains are officially open to mountain bikes: Kornock, Falkert, Strohsack, Kaiserburg, Goldeck and Kolmnock. All of them are located on legally designated NOCKBIKE routes.
The best season for mountain biking is between mid-June and mid-October. During this period, the high-altitude trails are free of snow, the alpine pastures are open and the panoramic routes are at their most beautiful.

For high-altitude alpine routes, we recommend: helmet, protective gear depending on the route, sufficient water, weather-appropriate clothing, repair kit, GPS support, and sun and rain protection.
Many peaks and passes are located near alpine huts and mountain inns offering regional cuisine, drinks and places to rest – especially at the Kaiserburg and around Bad Kleinkirchheim.
